The newly built Lanzerhof on the island of Sylt has undergone extensive internal and external refurbishment. This work involved all the concrete columns, walls and the underground car park. Each of these areas received a special concrete treatment to improve their appearance. The walls, which were clad with boarding and in some cases had deep flaking, were carefully restored in a multi-stage process. The columns were left in their natural state and the entrance to the underground car park was completely rebuilt. A tinted glaze was then applied, which not only improved the appearance but also provided a subtle waterproofing effect.

After stain removal, joints were renewed, restored and protected with pigmented glaze for a uniform, improved appearance.
After removing the various stains, the joints were carefully repointed to achieve a uniform appearance. Some joints were finished to the point of invisibility, while others were restored or recreated in other places. The final step was to apply a protective layer of pigmented glaze. This glaze not only improves the overall appearance but also has a subtle impregnating effect.
