Works of art made of concrete from the 1970s and 1980s that have been exposed to exhaust fumes and the effects of the weather must be preserved by means of a careful restoration approach. Strotmann & Partner applies this method to Wolf Vostell's work, with the aim of preserving the concrete surfaces, repairing active damage and restoring the original aesthetics influenced by this damage through visually adapted additions. The aim is to preserve the original image of the artwork by carrying out only sensitive repairs that comply with the principles of heritage conservation. The artist Wolf Vostell deliberately conceived the formal language, the structures and the colors of the surfaces of his artwork as a complement to the very simple geometric forms. Based on this artistic intention and Strotmann & Partner's experience, the work will be preserved and maintained in line with the artist's vision. This approach ensures that the artwork retains its authenticity while being preserved for future generations.
